Dr. Michael Nonnemacher is a molecular virologist who has worked on projects surrounding SIV and HIV for the past 22 years, especially viral genetics related to pathogenesis, reservoirs, and cure strategies. This work has expanded to utilization of molecular biology and sequencing techniques to assist in the design of broad-spectrum gRNAs, on- and off-target gene editing assays and development of a patented gRNA bioinformatic pipeline. He was also instrumental in building the Drexel Medicine CARES Cohort and the Temple/Drexel CTRSC Cohort (over 800 unique participants since 2006).
